Dreaming about something special like Iceland itself?
I’m knitter. But not the usual one. I’m knitting Icelandic wool sweaters with hood. Using authentic Icelandic wool. Wool coming from Icelandic sheep grazing on Icelandic lands
I use Icelandic patterns or design new ones based on them. Believe me. There are hundreds of various designs and new ones are constantly being created.
I am faithful to one type of wool, called plotulopi. This is the most natural type of wool. This wool looks like a thin woolen strip. It is unprocessed, like any other. Individual strands are thin and tear easily.ย
But when two or three threads are used together, they have strength that will last for years in the form of a sweater. I really like this wool. It is fluffier and more pleasant to the touch than the others.
ย And because it is not a traditional thread and is little processed, I feel that it is more natural than others.
Welcome to my world!

Classic lopapeysa
Normal jumper without hood or zipper. I need at least two weeks to make one.ย Price depends on size and how many colours do you want to use.ย There are many patterns of Icelandic sweaters. You can choose one that I’ve already done. Or find a completely new one.

Open sweater
Wool sweater can be with zipper or buttons, or the regular one. I need one, two days more than for normal one, to make it. I have to use a sewing machine.ย
And crotchet him after. It takes more time. They are comfortable. Easy to put on and elegant.

Sweater with hood
With zipper or buttons – you can choose yourself – and with hood. To make this Icelandic wool sweater with hood I need around 3 weeks, sometimes more. It’s usually 70 cm long. With buttons, crochet finished edges. Charming and unique.

Knitted hats or headbands
Warm and unique. Without pattern. Or maybe with a puffin or Icelandic sheep, or colorful ones. Choose your own and enjoy the warmth of original Icelandic wool. There is no other one the same.

Special orders
Unusual orders, i.e. triple thread knitting, very long sweaters, many colours etc. To make this wool sweater I need around 3 weeks, sometimes more.ย With buttons, crochet finished edges. Unique, the only one in the world!
Traditional Icelandic woolen hooded sweaters are lopapeysa in Icelandic. From lopi – wool and peysa, i.e. sweater. My first lopapeysa was red. Then Red Lopapeysa was born.
