Helo from Iceland!
Hi, I'm Edyta

Want to order wool jumper?
Where I come from?
From Poland. Although I make traditional Icelandic sweaters with hood, I am not originally Icelandic. I just wanted to try one day if I could. And I was hooked. For several years, sweater after sweater has been created.
Where did I learn to knit?
My grandmother taught me this a long time ago. In times when the long winter evenings were still endless, there were no cell phones or the Internet, there were three programs on TV at the same time. And when there were still grandmothers.
Back then, I knitted or crocheted clothes for dolls. And scarves and hats for myself. And wool jumpers.
It wasn’t yet Icelandic knitted wool sweaters with hood, however, moving to Iceland changed a lot in this respect.
The coolest ones are the most colourful ones.
There are hundreds of Icelandic sweater patterns! From the most popular ones, such as riddari, such as patterns created now. Besides, I admit that I created one myself – it’s a sweater with a volcano motif. It’s still waiting to be refined and replicated, but I already know it will be my favourite. Just like the puffin sweater.
At the beginning, these were traditional sweaters. But once I realized that what I enjoy most is making Icelandic knitted wool sweaters with hood, which really take a lot of time and work. Which not only needs to be knitted, but then washed, sewn and processed.
I think that because we’ve been together for so long, the sweaters are special. Each in a single copy. Each unique and unique. But it wasn’t easy either. I had to learn many things on my own and develop many solutions. And I still hate sewing sweaters!
I love using lots of colors in patterns.
I feel like people are afraid of colors. They prefer subdued clothes, furniture and life. I prefer them colorful. Of course, not reaching for kitsch, but life and sweaters should have expressive colors. And that’s what I like to do best.
And I invite you to buy such sweaters.
One of a kind. You could say it’s the only one in the world. Unique, like Iceland, where they come from.
